Backpacking in Rocky Mountain National Park

4days / 3 nights off the grid in Rocky Mountain National Park

Fun facts…

  • Accidental sommelier – I like learning about / drinking wine and kept at it until it was time to get certified. I’m a CMS Certified Somm, a WSET Level 3 and a Sherry Specialist. But Champagne is my favorite.
  • I love eating and I love to cook (which is challenging with this lifestyle), Indian is my favorite and I dove deep into Indian cooking the year before I went nomadic. I spend way too much time deciding where my next meal is going to be.
  • Language learning is really fun for me. I speak Spanish, and have some level of usefulness in French, Portuguese & Italian.
  • I have to burn off all the food & wine somehow, and running is the easiest to do while traveling. I try to book lodging near good running routes.
  • I got into backpacking at 41 – a strange time to decide that sleeping on the ground outside is a good idea.
  • I never watch video content, and when I do, I never watch with sound on. Alas, I’ll never be an influencer.
